A recent study conducted by renowned research firm, The Cicero Group, produced surprising results. In looking at which parts of an employee appreciation programme drive the most value, the study proved:

  • The most important element in a recognition programme is NOT the formal recognition event
  • A majority of people would choose a physical award over cash
  • There are diminishing, and even negative returns to growing award menus
