A focus on employee recognition yields big results
Some might call it bad timing, but Darren Groth says times of crisis also create unique opportunities for growth. After relocating from his native Australia to Vancouver, British Columbia, Groth landed a job with the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC). Working hard in the organization's responsible gambling division, Groth soon realized he had arrived at BCLC just ahead of the storm. That same year, the B.C. Ombudsman's Report* prompted the exit of BCLC's President and CEO.
