SALT LAKE CITY, Nov. 13, 2014 — The Tanner Gift of Music series, a musical event that was established and endowed by The O.C. Tanner Company in 1983, was honored with an Emmy award from the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
“The O.C. Tanner Company and the Tanner families are delighted to learn of the Emmy Award for the James Taylor concert! That very popular event was performed live on two evenings, free of charge, to members of the public,” said Carolyn Tanner Irish, Chair of the Board, O.C. The free annual community musical event, titled: Mormon Tabernacle Choir Presents an Evening with James Taylor, was honored within the Special Event Coverage (other than news or sports)–Live or Edited category.
