Black Desert Resort is located at 3,100 ft. Travelling to higher altitudes can have physical effects on your body due to the decrease in oxygen availability. It's important to take precautions to minimize the risk of altitude sickness and other health issues. Following are some high-altitude tips:
- Plan to drink extra water daily to remain hydrated.
- Take it easy for the first few days to allow your body to acclimate to the altitude.
- Avoid strenuous physical activity.
- Limit alcohol consumption. Altitude can have a significant impact on alcohol consumption. At high altitudes, the lower air pressure causes a decrease in the oxygen available to the body. This can lead to a decrease in the body's ability to metabolize alcohol, meaning that alcohol stays in the bloodstream for longer periods of time. As a result, the effects of alcohol can be felt more strongly, and it can take longer for the body to process the alcohol.
