When the world shut down, employee recognition at Ocwen did not.


Situation:
Ocwen is one of the largest mortgage and lending servicers in America, with over 5,500 employees in the US, India, and the Philippines. At the beginning of the Covid pandemic their IT, Infosec, HR, and Facilities teams worked around the clock to help employees successfully transition to remote work. In less than a month, 90% of employees were equipped to work remotely, while still ensuring seamless operations and service to customers. The company wanted to recognize these teams for their great work and extra efforts.

Solution:
Ocwen gave special recognition through their online platform Applause. An e-certificate signed by the entire executive team was delivered electronically to recipients along with a significant number of Applause points. The company also shared stories of employee accomplishments and peers left comments of appreciation on the Applause Wall of Fame.


Outcome:
Recent surveys indicate employees are “as or more productive” than they were before starting remote work, morale is high, and the company received positive feedback for their response to the Covid crisis.
