Leadership at Risk: Strategies for Preventing Burnout and Prioritizing Mental Wellbeing

Leaders are employees, too. This truth may sound obvious, but it’s overlooked enough that mid-level managers are being asked to do more than ever before—experiencing more stress, anxiety, and burnout than other employees—which can lead to a dangerous domino effect. Ultimately, leaders’ work experiences are nowhere near as positive as those of their individually contributing colleagues.

So what is the remedy? It starts with adopting a more holistic view of employees and then advocating for inclusive change management, leader appreciation, and appropriate support. Join Meghan Stettler, director at O.C. Tanner Institute, along with Salman Haider, Clinical Operations Lead at Intellect, as they discuss:

  • The factors contributing to leader burnout
  • Mental health challenges associated with modern leadership
  • Techniques, tools, and resources to combat leader burnout and safeguard mental wellbeing
