Zubin Zack Managing Director

As a seasoned executive with over 20 years of experience, Zubin brings extensive cross-functional experience in leading mature as well as startup businesses which operate in disorganized ecosystems and immense competition. He leads to inspire and influence others by developing potential, enabling success and creating value. Zubin thrives in executing complex frameworks with simple and focused strategies. He collaborates with leadership teams across geographies to deliver recognition and culture building strategies, leadership training initiatives, employee engagement and other culture building solutions. He is a thought leader in the culture building domain. He leads and drives strategies which creates a culture of appreciation and recognition for our clients. When he’s not busy recognizing people around him, Zubin enjoys indulging himself in philosophical discussions, learning from every experience, watching sitcom reruns and amusing his cheerful family and friends.

Pawan Chande DIRECTOR - FINANCE & OPERATIONS

In his multi-fold role at O.C. Tanner, Pawan leads our Finance & Operations’ functions. Besides keeping an eagle eye on the company finances, he adopts a holistic and client-centric approach in managing the company’s multifarious operations including Supply Chain, Legal and Human Resources. He devises and implements strategies which augment efficiencies and provide an impetus for accelerating growth and facilitating long-term success. With strong technical expertise and extensive experience of over two decades, Pawan drives the local operations, aligning them with the global standards of O.C.Tanner. When not busy counting the money, he and his wife Aparna share their love for music, reading and traveling with their two children.

With great reputation for excellent leadership skills and passion for creating high performance teams, there could not be anyone better than Ramakrishna Maddali to set up a Technology Center in India. At O.C. Tanner, he leads the Technology Center in Hyderabad. A certified graduate in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Madras University, Rams comes with rich experience of over 14 years in development of product strategy and roadmaps, acquisition of new technology, business partnership, managing large global engineering organizations, off shoring, and organizational restructuring. Rams drives the team which is focused on developing market-leading products, supporting our global and local customers, and inventing tools that help our clients gain insight into engaging their employees.

Karan heads the Sales & Business Development function for India. He works with his clients as a Recognition and Engagement Strategist delivering all our Technology, Strategy, Design Services, Offline Solutions and Consulting services across industries but customized to each client need. He demonstrates solid analytical and team management skills and has a proven track-record of generating partnerships while cultivating deeper relationships across key decision makers. He orchestrates across stakeholders -internal and external- to deliver on commitments and inspires his team to run the extra mile assuring and embodying the “Make it Happen” attitude. As a subject matter expert in this industry he is revered for best practices, best-in-class recommendations, and our latest thought leadership and research. When he is not busy with business, he loves spending some fun time with his wife and his little daughter.

Srajan’s stellar leadership has been instrumental in setting up of the Finance function in India which he manages effectively and efficiently. He takes pride in his ability to consistently deliver out of the box solutions that are technically sound, innovative and implementable for the company. His deep regulatory and legal understanding enables him to handle complex compliance and reporting issues with much ease. He is systematic, thorough and uncompromising in his approach and a proactive team player with a mature outlook and a positive attitude. A qualified Chartered Accountant, Srajan also has expertise in IFRS and Forex & Treasury Management. He has rich experience in handling finance, accounting, taxation, audit and payroll functions of various manufacturing, trading as well as service organizations, over the past 18+ years. When he is not at work, Srajan enjoys listening to music and traveling with his wife and son.

Being detail oriented and having profound analytical skills is what enables Jaya to build lasting professional relationships with clients. Jaya, who leads Client Servicing function in India, has over 19 years of experience in achieving unprecedented customer delight. Jaya has worked with multiple clients, helping them create effective recognition strategies that drive innovation, creativity and performance. With qualifications in Commerce and Marketing Management, Jaya has a deep sense of purpose and duty that give her the flexibility and comfort to work in a variety of professional environments. Outside of work, Jaya is a globetrotter and enjoys spending time with her husband and two angels.

Strategic, reliable, enterprising - each has been used to describe Shashin, who leads our Award Strategy, Sourcing and Supply Chain function. With rich experience of over 13 years, Shashin is accountable for building merchandise strategies suitable to different demographics, price points, culture and client needs. He also leads initiatives to establish end-to-end supply chain operations for importing, supplying and sourcing awards in India. Shashin comes with meritorious experience which he acquired while working with some of India’s renowned modern trade retailers where he contributed significantly in the area of product lifecycle management, vendor management, and sourcing and supply chain development. Shashin has been leading strategic projects that require global cross - functional collaboration, which have impact business profitability. While building strategic partnership with external stakeholders, he is obsessed with maintaining frugality over the costs and focusing on building sustainable scalability. Shashin enjoys reading business articles, playing chess and spending time with his family. He passionately follows behavioral economics as a subject.

It's through her example that Carolyn leads and carries on the legacy of her father, Obert C. Tanner. Like him, she believes in honest and transparent business practices, supporting employees and giving generously to charitable organizations and communities. When she's not looking after 1400+ employees, Carolyn is supporting foundations like the YWCA of Salt Lake City. She also served the Salt Lake community as the bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Utah from 1996 to 2010.

Dave arrived at O.C. Tanner offering his services without a job interview or offer. If the company wasn't pleased after a month's work (without pay), he'd pack his things. Lucky for us, 30 years later he's proven his determination, dedication and capabilities time and time again, in literally every department of the company. Coupled with a bachelor's degree in international business from Brigham Young University an MBA from Thunderbird American Graduate School of International Management, make him a globally-minded leader for our global company.

Whether he is in Germany or Jamaica, Ty Brown travels anywhere for a great adventure. That dedication helps recognition culture grow all over the globe. He listens, he experiments, and he builds consensus. He aims to meet needs of colleagues and clients alike by drawing on his background in operations, human resources, sales, manufacturing, and supply chain management. He also has a bachelor's degree in Accounting and an M.B.A.-both from Brigham Young University. This reservoir of experience has benefitted our company since Ty joined O.C. Tanner in 2003, helping our organization deliver award fulfillment solutions to clients in 130 countries. He shares all of his professional accomplishments with his staff, but the adventures Ty cherishes most are those with his wife and their four children.

Giving Back

Our founder, Obert C. Tanner, measured the company’s success by asking his accountant, “What’s our giveability this month?” His intention echoes in our hearts and halls today. It’s why we donate our time to organisations in need, our effort to improve our communities, and 10% of company profits to philanthropic causes.

O.C. Tanner’s charitable strategy is to support the environment, arts, education, children, and organisations that are meaningful to its employees—all things that are important to the organisation and what it stands for.

Corporate gifts
The Tanner Lectures on Human Values. The endowed lectureship at Oxford, Cambridge, Princeton, Harvard, Stanford, Yale, and the universities of Utah, Michigan, and University of California at Berkley, was established by Obert C. Tanner to “contribute to the intellectual and moral life of mankind.” 

The Gift of Music. Every other year, 44,000 complimentary tickets are given away to the Tanner Gift of Music, a two-night concert series featuring the Utah Symphony, Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and guest soloists. The 2013 concert featured singer-songwriter James Taylor. 

Fountains. We’ve donated more than 40 fountains as corporate gifts, fountains that now beautify the landscapes of schools, hospitals, parks, and universities around the country.

 

 Tanner Cares
Our Tanner Cares program offers financial assistance to employees in times of extreme need. The money comes from all employees. Whenever an employee contributes to a community charity, the company matches the donation dollar for dollar in Tanner Cares. 

In 2011, O.C. Tanner Canada introduced the Employee Donation Program, in which the Company gives $100 to each employee to donate to the charity they choose. In our inaugural year, these were the top 5 charities of choice:
